Summer holiday season is pretty much over but as you may have seen, we’ve been checking out the sites of Barcelona recently. It has the perfect mix of stunning beaches (for some much needed chill time!) incredible architecture, hidden streets and beautiful scenery all waiting to be explored. At Manners Maketh Man, you’ll never find us doing any of that without our essentials and there’s nothing better to carry those in than the trusty backpack.
Backpacks have come a long way since school days and are now just as suited in the city on your morning commute as they are exploring Las Ramblas. This season there’s more choice than ever and styles to suit every look. One trend that’s evident and one we’re a big fan of, is the use of patterns. Whether you want something understated or with more of a kick, we’ve got you covered in our backpack guide.
SAINT LAURENT: MONOGRAMMED CANVAS BACKPACK - £705
Not shying away from its past, this bag from Saint Laurent features an all over pattern made up of the famous YSL logo. A multipurpose backpack for most occasions.
BURBERRY: LONDON CHECK BACKPACK - £795
In the world of fashion, the Burberry check is as recognisable as Karl Lagerfeld. Toned down on this backpack, it's perfect for use in the city as much as it is during your weekend travels.
GIVENCHY: MONKEY BROTHERS BACKPACK - £830
On first appearance this backpack is rather understated until you get a closer look. Perfect for those looking for something different without standing out too much.
MCM: STARK LUXUS BACKPACK - €1095
MCM is better known for producing loud and bright backpacks. With an allover croc embossed print onto black leather, we love the sophistication of this design.
GUCCI: TROPICAL PRINT BACKPACK - £1180
The final backpack on our list is certainly the loudest. Featuring an allover tropical design, this is our top pick for your summer travels. Be sure to pair this with toned down block colours and let the bag do the talking.
